Hannah Krall

Saxophone, clarinet, and piano teacher since 2022

Hannah Krall has been involved in music since the age of 8 when her father taught her saxophone. Learning how to play piano and clarinet followed soon after! As a high school student, she participated in county, district, and regional festivals. She attended Cornell University where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Music. While at Cornell, she performed with the wind ensemble and jazz combo, and became a founding member of the
Original Cornell Syncopators, an early jazz ensemble that participated in national jazz festivals and made two albums. She has received a Master of Arts in Musicology from Duke University
and is currently working on her PhD in Musicology. At Duke, she serves as a teaching assistant for aural skills labs and the instructor of record for a writing course. In addition to performing,
she enjoys writing about music and presenting her work at conferences. She hopes to connect with her students by making music a fun, yet educational experience!
