Voice and piano teacher since 2022
Growing up in Southern Indiana, if I wasn’t playing outside barefoot, I was glued to the television singing with Disney movies on repeat. I aspired to sing just like all my animated idols. I joined my school choir in 4th grade, the first grade you were allowed to do so. I let my choir nerd persona carry me all the way though high school, through multiple years of All-State Choir and various singing competitions, and Chamber Choir. I started taking private vocal lessons when I was a teenager. After high school, I worked in the local music shop and continued my lessons, focusing more heavily on modern pop/rock styles. When I was 20 years old I moved to Los Angeles to attend Musician’s Institute and be a part of their Vocal Performance and Independent Artist Development program. I studied voice technique rigorously and performed on stage every day, also taking piano classes throughout. After college I went back to my hometown and joined a popular local rock band singing harmonies and playing keys. We gigged in all the cool places in Louisville and even played a whole set live on the radio. I started teaching piano and voice during this time and have had great success with my students. I specialize in modern pop/rock styles and can teach you to belt out anything from Disney ballads to punk rock anthems and accompany yourself while you do it.
