Nathaniel Meyer Piano 2024
My name is Nate Myers and I am a piano teacher. My day job includes being the STEM department chair and instructor at Saint Mary's School in Raleigh, NC. Originally from Kingstree, SC, I attended NC State University where I got my undergraduate degree in Science, Technology, and Society. I have been playing piano since I was 8 years old, having taken classical lessons for a number of years. I started playing for church in high school and also self taught myself jazz and blues. I can play both by note and by ear, with my specialty being in music composition and how songs are built using various keys and chord progressions. My musical experience includes running a music production program for a number of years at the Boys and Girls Club, teaching piano lessons, playing at multiple churches in the triangle area, and playing piano for a local funk and reggae band. In my free time I enjoy playing piano, learning bass guitar, spending time with my wife and daughter, playing golf, reading, and traveling.
