Victoria Tolan

Victoria (Tori) Tolan began her journey as a musician 20+ years ago and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. She started her teaching career in 2010 while still in college and taught in the community music school division at Stetson University.

In 2012, Tori moved to Connecticut where she continued her passion for teaching flute and piano. She maintained a flute/piano studio of 25-35 students in Connecticut until recently moving to North Carolina. In addition to her studio, Tori instructed flute for beginning band camps, planned many student recitals and organized various music festivals.

Tori also performed in Connecticut with The Hartt School’s Capital Winds Ensemble, a flute duo, and guitarist locally. She is also well versed in the audition process and her students in Connecticut were
frequently accepted into CMEA Regionals ensembles, the New England Music Festival Association, and the Springfield Youth Orchestras. Most recently, she was a judge for the Florida Flute Association College Young Artist Competition. Her lessons are customized to meet the students’ specific needs and goals. She incorporates the fundamentals of music making, while maintaining a fun learning environment. Tori is always open to the music the student is interested in, and encourages students to come to lessons with pieces they are wanting to learn. Her passion is teaching and inspiring students of all ages to pursue their own musical
journey and find the joy that comes with learning music!
